This coffee comes from three remarkable female producers in the Cajamarca region of northern Peru: Cruz María Jiménez Bermeo, Raquel Santa Cruz Sánchez, and Susy Milena Campos Jiménez.
While coffee growers are often imagined as men, this perception overlooks the profound impact women have on coffee production. When women are fully involved in producing specialty coffee, the benefits ripple outward: families are
healthier, farms are better managed, and income and savings increase.

Rather than build our own impact goals we have used the United Nations’ framework of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to guide how we purchase our coffee. This enables us to align our impact with some of the biggest social and environmental challenges we face today.
