Description

Already own a batch filter machine but looking to improve the taste, quality and ethical credentials of your office coffee?

We’ve packaged up three of our favourite single origins, each with a distinctive taste profile, in 3 x 500g compostable bags.

Try all three unique origins through your own machine and let us know your favourite. We can then discuss prices and supply arrangements. Or we can create a coffee for you based on your taste preferences, subject to volumes.

Each pack of coffee also comes delivered with compostable tasting cards and wooden block stands so you can show-off the provenance and taste credentials of your coffee.

What's included

  • 3 x 500g bags of Speciality coffee – each with a distinctive taste profile based on origin of coffees, which is detailed on the tasting cards
  • Almost entirely compostable packaging
  • 3 x tasting cards for each coffee for use by your machine or in your meeting rooms.  Our cards have a compostable matt laminate finish to protect them from liquid damage
  • 3 x wooden tasting card holders

Experts advice

Most filter machines don’t allow you much control over the brew.  However, we’ve set-out some key principles to follow below; but your own view on taste will be the best way to ensure your machine is getting the best from this high quality Speciality coffee.

  • Always use filtered water and if your machine is connected to mains water, check the filter cartridge is being changed regularly.  This will improve the taste of your coffee and extend the machine’s life
  • If you can adjust the temperature of the water used for extraction then aim for between 92-94 degrees C
  • Always brew into a clean jug or container.  Brown stains will taint the taste of the fresh coffee.  Specific granules for cleaning coffee pots are available
  • The volume of coffee you use in each brew will affect the strength of taste.  We suggest starting with 60g of coffee per litre of water
  • The correct grind consistency is essential for a tasty brew.  Too fine and your used grinds will look swampy and the coffee will taste flat and bitter.  Too course and the used grinds will look like clean gravel and the coffee will taste sour

We are official distributors for FETCO temperature-controlled speciality batch brewers.  We are happy to offer telephone advice on set-up of your own machine should you wish.
